Purbeck Art Weeks Application for 2024 Exhibition

Opportunity for local artists to exhibit at PAW

By Laurel Hart, Director of Strategic Communications, Purbeck Art Weeks

As the New Year dawns upon us, so does an exciting opportunity for visual artists residing or working in the region of Purbeck. Purbeck Art Weeks (PAW) invites artists to submit applications to exhibit in the highly anticipated Purbeck Art Weeks Festival 2024, scheduled to take place from May 25 to June 9, 2024.

The festival provides a unique platform for local artists to showcase their talent and engage with the vibrant artistic community in Purbeck. If you are a visual artist keen to be a part of this event, we encourage you to apply.

One artist reflected on their time at PAW Festival: “I found PAW to be extremely well organised, full of interesting and stimulating art and that I was very happy with the sales made and would completely recommend it to new artists … in fact my partner should be entering as a newcomer next year and I certainly will be entering again”

To learn more about the application process and requirements, visit our official website.  Alternatively, for inquiries and more information, please contact us at membership@purbeckartweeks.co.uk. The deadline for applications is January 31, 2024, so be sure to submit your entry in time.

Bursaries available to support artists of all kinds

Purbeck Art Weeks is committed to fostering and supporting local artistic talent. In line with this commitment, PAW is offering bursaries to provide financial assistance and support to visual and performing artists interested in developing their careers.

These bursaries are not just financial support; they are a way of encouraging local talent, carving pathways for local artists to access opportunities and push their boundaries. It’s about investing in the aspirations of local artists and deepening access to creative opportunities. Supporting artists today means a richer cultural scene for everyone tomorrow.

Artists interested in learning more about these bursaries and the application process are encouraged to get in touch at info@purbeckartweeks.co.uk. This is an excellent opportunity for artists to receive support for their creative endeavours and help them contribute to the arts scene in Purbeck.

Purbeck Art Weeks looks forward to celebrating the rich tapestry of local talent during the 2024 festival and encourages visual artists to submit their applications.
