Details

The historic Anglebury House Hotel, Restaurant and Bar is set located in the centre of Wareham.

Originally built in 1550 the house is one of the few buildings to survive the ‘Great Fire of Wareham’ of 1762. The Anglebury has survived for some 450 years and we hope to continue to make those who come and stay very welcome and to share some of our amazing history. Did you know that Lawrence of Arabia was a regular visitor to the Anglebury and Thomas Hardy also used the restaurant to draft his book ‘The Hand of Ethelberta’
